Moms with potty trained kids: my son will be 2 next month and for maybe the past month or so he's been in underwear all during the day and has done really good. My only problem is at night when he goes to sleep in his pull up he pees so much that it goes through and leaks on his bed. Which means washing his sheets multiple times a week. Should I wake him like in the middle of the night to have him go pee or what? I don't give him anything to drink for maybe 1 hour or so before he actually gets in the bed, so I really don't know why he's peeing so much during the night.

Yes try waking him at least once in the night see if it helps

@blaqkharma, thanks. We always make sure he goes before he gets in the bed but idk lol it's like his bladder just explodes at night. So I'll try getting him up to see if that helps.

My 4 year old still has accidents at night every now and then. It's all depending on when we eat dinner and things like that. He isn't allowed to have drink 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours before bed. Seems drastic but it's helped. Peeing right before he goes to bed helps. Also... Trying to make him pee more than once before bed could help too.
Another thing I learned since he obviously still has accidents is to use a mattress cover and have extra sheets. It helps protect the bed from smelling like pee.. and I do laundry daily so it gets washed but still it's like ughhhh making a bed several times a week sucks.

@britknenicole, thank you so much. I made him go multiple times before bed and also woke him up in the middle of the night to go and it made a huge difference although he's not trained throughout the night, so I expect him to still pee, but the amount of pee was wayyy less than it has been all week.

That's awesome!!! I know it helps my son. He still has small accidents every now and then. But it's progress and I think he just has a weak bladder at night.
