3 weeks post partum from c-section and bleeding heavily , so used super tampons and I've bled out the last three in 10 mins of having them in , I'm thinking maybe it's my first period ? Is it normal to be so heavy ?

It's normal,and it's totally your choice but it isn't recommended to use tampons this soon you're supposed to wait six weeks

If you're start passing big blood clots then call your doctor

@p0790, I know it's not recommended .. I went through the pads I had and for week and half had no spotting or anything .. so this was unexpected . Hopefully it will let up and be somewhat regular .. I go back to work Monday and can't imagine bleeding like this :/

The bleeding after birth is the uterine lining shedding and the wound healing where the placenta was attached. The more up and active you are the more you will bleed... this is why some women bleed on and off. Give yourself the full 6 weeks to recover.
Tampons are really not a good idea due to the risk of bacteria traveling up to the placenta wound and causing uterine infection.
Use pads... if you are experiencing more pain and cramping go to the ER.
