My son's In kindergarten and he has came home and called himself a "stupid child" a few times. I asked him where he heard that and he always said no where. Last night I asked him again and he said someone called him that in school and he told me a name of a boy in his class
But then I told my bf that I was gonna talk to the principal and right away my son said "no don't tell..I was lying..no one called me that. I don't wanna get in trouble for lying"
Idk what to do..

Children don't lie especially if he said it more than once and told you a name I would talk to the teacher,

The kid is probably bullying him and that's why he doesn't want you to say anything because then he is afraid of being called a mama's boy or a cry baby

I was bullied in kindergarten and my mom actually flipped out on a teacher because this girl had the teacher I convinced I said the word sex and she went up the teacher one way and down the other because she knew I didn't know that word unless I learned it at school she was not happy I got punished for something I didn't do I didn't find that out till I was an adult though it started with name calling

@mommy2benntley yeah my bf doesn't really think I should say anything yet. But that's a little kids way of bullying. And so help me God if my child ends up hurt or anything I will find that childs mother

Yeah just keep an eye on it see if they let parents sit in on class sometimes see if you can see it happening i dont know if they still do room mom of the week

that doesn't seem like a child's insult to me. especially a kindergartner. i don't see children calling other children a child.

@jenny73, I would deff go to school and speak to the principal about it.. I had a kid older then my son (5) spit on him on the bus.. and you know what his dad response was when I spoke to him about it "he can't prevent what his child does" I'm not in it to show my kids violence but if things like that aren't stopped my son will be defending himself and we'll have problems with the other child parents. It's not ok at all especially when their just starting the school year. Imagine later on..
