So my living room windows have no blinds and they've had curtains. But thick long dark curtains and I need the complete opposite. I want to bring lots of light to my living room. Do y'all think if I put up the wood blinds and no curtains it would bring in light and make the room look bigger?

You can get white wooden blinds, to lighten the room and give it a more open feeling, and maybe some sheer panels on the side :)

wood blinds give a darker feeling. I say sheer panels!

Im the same way... I have sheers under my kinda dark to light curtains and still lets in the amount of light Im happy with

No... The wood blinds have like a dark tint to them and it would make your living-room look small.

@miller13, @sixplus1, Thanks guys. Yes! @andrea.herrington, that's what I meant they would be white wooden blinds. I would never get dark blinds lol. I was also thinking of panels! Thanks for the idea!
