Do i need to speak to the health visitor if i want to start introducing formula alongside breastfeeding? Or is it something i can just go ahead n do? Still want to breastfeed but not as much especially as im going to work soon. I express sometimes but it always makes my nipples sore to the point where they bleed 😑

You don't need health visitors permission or to let them know just do it when you feel ready basically x

Thank you. Wasnt sure if i had to ask them first. Although if i did i would probably get bashed for wanting to try formula lol x

Just ignore them do what feels right for you, a lot of health visitors just go by the book xx

You need a bigger flange hun.. if they get sore like that it means that the nipple is rubbing to much against the walls of the flange

If you do introduce formula it can make your supply vanish slowly.. its up to you ofc but if the baby doesnt eat as much the body will produce less and less xxx

@missy84 do what you like. Your child your decision. Ignore anyone who bashes you that breast is best screw them fed is best and it doesn't matter how as long as they're fed. Xx

No problem hun. She's your baby. Don't feel guilty. Yes there's woman who would love to be able to feed their babies themselves I am one of them but at the end of the day if you feel it's time to move on or whatever then go for it. If you express when bubba would normally feed still you can always give her express milk but again your decision don't let anyone dictate you on your child.
Sorry I've been empowered today to say screw you to people who try to tell me what to do with my child. Feeling very strongly about it atm @missy84 xx

@lukesmummy2016 i do express sometimes but its quite time consumimg and it makes my nipples so sore which is quite uncomfortable when she feeds.
I guess im worried we will lose that bond n im terrified incase formula makes her ill 🙀 xx

Totally your decision hun.
I moved luke to formula are 4 weeks. It made him constipated but once I changed his milk he was fine xx
