With my first baby I breastfed for about the first 6 weeks, but I couldn't leave the house for more than an hour without my boobs swelling so bad that it hurt and they would leak so I let my milk dry up!! This time I want to exclusively breastfeed and I'm aiming for at least 6 months to the first year, ANY TIPS ladies!!! All suggestions are welcome!!!
DEDICATION is KEY! Breastfeeding is so hard and I've noticed a lot of women quit around the 6-8 week mark. It's a lot of work, some days will be easier than others! You'll need a good support as well. Let everyone know what you plan to do & that you'll them in your corner. My twins have been EBF & were just now adding homemade solids at 6 months. Good luck!
The best position for me is laying on my side to feed cause then I can nap a little while she eats. And she latched better that way. I save the milk I pump for when I'm at work or out and about. I only breast fed 2 wks with my first child. I want to see how far I can make it with this one so far it's been almost 7 weeks. I also put the pumped milk in 4oz Bottles ready to go to make it easy for my BF. Cause when he gets off work im going in.
Thanks so much ladies @dang_dridri, @embracemthrhd2,
