Trying to get my daughter to play independently on her play pat, but she just starts crying.....thinking I'm suppose to hold her, what am I to do???.....she's 7 months now and won't roll, I think it's due to her not having enough play time. #ThinkingImTheCause

my daughter is over attached as well. I can now put her on a mat and sit by her without her screaming, but god forbid I get up and do something, let alone leave the room...

@beebaby @kate_smith OMG.....I think that I might have to just put her down and walk away.....now she will sit up in her boppy with no problems just as long as I'm sitting right beside her.

@beebaby @kate_smith crazy thing is my husband and I caught her a few times where she rolled over the boppy.....she has to be doing something, because when we put her in the crib, by morning she sideways.

she probably can roll over then :))
I know... I might have to do that as well. I used to never leave her, but now if she is screaming and I need to finish something instead of trying to entertain her while she misbehaves I take her out of the room and finish what I was doing. this is week 1 of this torture - I hope she learns not to scream soon... she probably won't...

the health visitor thinks that its my fault for spoiling her, in was holding her constantly while she had a colic, so she probably thinks its the norm now. on one hand this is the time that she needs me the most, so I should give her as much attention as she needs, but on the other hand it is exhausting and unhealthy and she needs to learn that its OK to be alone when mummy needs to go to the loo!
