The 2 year old girl I nanny has had a greenish discharge for about 2 months. I have brought it up to her mother and she asked her mom (who was a pediatric nurse ) and they didn't think anything of it. It's in her underwear every time she goes potty, I wipe and Wash her well when I am with her. What could this be??? She sometimes complains and says "it hurts" when I wipe her.

That could definitely be an infection. Any discharge that is "green" is never an "okay" thing, especially if it hurts. That is taught in nursing school 101. She needs to pee in a cup and have an urinalysis done to rule out UTI. Until then, better wiping and cleaning during bath, also no bubble baths. Certain soaps could be an irritant. My stepdaughter has to use the scent free/dye free soaps to avoid infection.
