You just have to think later in life will he have wanted you to have fixed it when he was little... is it going to affect his life in the future... if you believe it won't then don't bother... but if you believe it will its worth a shot... if it becomes too traumatic then you can always quit using it

@dreamermom, I believe it'll affect him later in life. I want him to have it even though I don't want to deal with him actually wearing it. We still have to find out if it's covered by our insurance, if it's not we cannot afford it

My friend used it for her twins, it is not something bad. They stay in the helmet for 23h a day! And the only negative site is that they sweat and it smells. Mostly they wear the helmet just for a very short time and because it is just temporary - it isn't bad!

@trice4990, then I'd say do it... and if insurance won't cover it... start looking for an organization that might help you absorb the cost... contact the manufacturer and see if they offer any programs... just a thought!

Lots of kids have this and you should definitely get the helmet and follow the doctors instructions! Don't want your baby to have a misshaped head.
