No lifting is the big one. I didn't feel much pain because of the medicine. But I will say while still in the hospital maybe 30 minutes after my csection the nurse pushed down on my incision site omgah the worse pain. 😣

Not exercise, no sex, no heavy lifting. And the pain for me was soooooo bad. I think my 28 hour labor with my son stuck in between my hips didn't help though. But once I got home I couldn't even lay down because I just felt like my incision was ripping open so I slept awkwardly in a chair for a week which killed my back and breast feeding was so hard because I couldn't let my son get anywhere near my incision!

I was in labor for 18hrs before my csection and thought my post csection pain was worst than labor. I couldn't bend, lift heavy...Granted you still have to lift your baby and breast feeding and holding the baby on my chest/partially on my upper belly was a b*tch. In the same token, I have a friend who had a vaginal birth and ended up with a prolapse bladder and 4th degree laceration which caused anal sphincter damage, so now she has to have her belly opened to fix the bladder and she leaks urine and poop. So you're damned if you, you're damned if you don't :-/

No sex, no lifting over 10 lbs, no driving, and light duties like when moving around, etc. recovery pain wasn't bad at all for me. It was weird and sore at times but I kept up on my medicine every few hours for a week. I haven't had meds since for over a week now and I'm doing great! I've barely had any pain because I made myself walk a lot and I've listened to the drs orders. I breastfeed and I hold her up on my chest. No where near my incision. I blow dry my incision every time I shower and sometimes at random moments to keep it dry and free from moisture. Staple removal didn't hurt either.
