1cm dilated... on the pitocin now, They just upped me to 6 on it! Not sure if I'm supposed to feel contractions? If I am they're mild cramps. Planning to break my water later today.. later on.. debating on the epidural. I'm small and there is a higher risk in missing the epidural "spot". I HATE needles... :( if the pain is too much to handle - I'm sure I'll get it cause the needle will be like nothing. But.. idk. Freaking out over here about it.

congratulations and tbh wen I took the epidural I didn't feel the needle because I was in to much pain

They used lidocaine to numb my epidural site but after they gave it to me they said it was useless since i was already 10 when they finished it but that is very rare to have happen(: still felt almost nothing tho😊❤

@mandy642, it's just so scary... I don't want them to miss and then I have to come back as an emergency and what not. :(

i was same exact way when i had my lil girl. i really wanted a nornal birth but after they popped it that was it. after a couple hours i had enough i got the epidural

Yea i know, that was main concern for me also, but i think it also depends on how experienced the anesthesiologist is, im sure you'll be fine, if anything you could also have a narcotic birth the only difference is that it doesnt sedate the baby as much it was my original plan as pain management but they can only give it twice in labor
