All babies are different. But mine switched every couple of months. Newborn size until about 6 or 7weeks. If I had extra I just donated them.

My daughter was 6lbs 9oz when she was born and was in nb diapers for 2.5 months. She's now 16 months in size 3. My nephew on the other hand is 9 months old and wears size 4. So I agree with @kambam, it just depends.

It really does depend. My son never fit in newborn diapers he wore two and then it was size 1. He's 17 in a half months and wearing a size 6 almost ready to put him in pull ups because the 6 is getting to small.
