quick question..I'm almost 12 weeks and about 2 days ago I started getting this awful pain in my hip…

I did, but it's on my left. I get it almost every time I have my period too. I haven't found anything that really helps, I just move until I can get comfortable again, for however long that lasts.

Could it be your appendix? My sister had that kind of pain at 16 weeks on her right and it turned out her appendix had to come out

the pain is right at my hip joint..it's awful it kinda feels like growing pains but since I'm a first time mom idk if it's normal or if it's something I need to go get checked

It's a normal part of pregnancy. Pain from your uterus growing and pulling at ligaments

That's what my sister thought it was at first, the round ligament pain, but hers was so bad that she finally went to the ER. Hers hit suddenly though, from nothing to within a few hours it was excruciating. Round ligament pain does send some women to the ER though because it hurts so badly.

@nomaci omg is she ok?? my pain is constant..it hasn't gone away since it started..walking makes it feel better but laying down can be excruciating

Yes she is, thank you! She had her little boy 7 weeks ago and having her appendix out didn't hurt anything. I know she hurt less when she wasn't moving, but if she moved or touched the area it was terrible. She was only at the beginning of appendicitis though. Have you called your doctor? If you tell them it's been this bad for this long, they may want you to get checked out.
