Lol so my boyfriend's dad (aka our landlord) is selling our house, so we're looking at houses. We pay $600 a month in rent right now, it was originally $850 when our roommates lived here (so he was getting $1900 a month altogether).
We decided to look up our house and what a mortgage/rent payment would be for someone else...$350 a month. He's getting $250 a month extra from us for a house he doesn't have a mortgage on. And I guarantee you he knows it. Greedy bastard. When our roommates lived here he was getting like $1500 extra when our roommates lived here, and they were family too!

@jenngarcia1755 it's worth $50k lol. We live in the ghetto and the house is over 50 years old. Property value is extremely low in this neighborhood because there's a halfway house across the street and several abandoned buildings. He's making bank off of us though that's for sure.

@sillyval0920 it's about the same in a decent neighborhood here. This place is just a shit hole lol, but we've done our best to make it a home. We're just gonna look at buying; it's cheaper.

@jenngarcia1755 oh girl, it's bad lmao. We have mice, squirrels in the attic, our water heater only half works, our air unit cuts out every 3 months, fridge is over 20 years old, AND we used to have a building in the backyard that we used as a shed but someone burned it down.

@theinkedmommy that's what some of it is going to! The rest is going to bills so we can get our credit up a bit and we're taking a weekend trip bc we haven't had a weekend away in almost two years.
