Have you tried swabbing inside his little anus with Vaseline on a q-tip? I've never tried it myself, but ive hear other mommas talk about how well it works. Do you breast feed? If so, you may need to cut out certain foods in your diet. If you formula feed, I would try switching to a different formula.

When my baby went through this exact thing, I fed him prune juice cut with water twice a day and switched his formual. That worked for us. Wish you luck! I know how horrible it is:(

@dashtikalin, yeah Ive used the q tip with a&d in his bum! Hes formula fed and we've switched formula 4 times and they all do the same thing....

Have you asked his pediatrician about it? If you've tried everything, you mighy just need to get him a prescripted laxative. Poor babe:/

@dashtikalin, he was prescribed one when he was like 2 months old and it backed him up as well...I'm like hitting a wall with options. I'm so lost

The only other thing I can think of is maynr looking into essential oils. I know a homeopathic doctor in Louisiana who is amazing and might be able yo help you if you want to try the natural route.

My daughter was like that. I finally used a suppository from Walmart and she pooped right away and after a day or so because normal/regular.

We went through it with our girl we still go through it sometimes. I tried everything that you said and nothing. The only thing that helps us is this. Hope it works for ur baby. Good luck! I know how it feels yo see them push and see the pain in their face 😔

@trice4990, i think you should ask ur pediatrician, ours said to use it since it was really bad. She was 8 months. I liked it because with the suppository she would push it out and nothing would happen and with this is like magic, it still hurts them a little while it comes out but it works in seconds!
