My labor story: Thursday i went to the doctor for a regular check up, he told me I had preeclampsia (I had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes earlier on in the pregnancy) he said with all the problems going on he wanted me to be induced by 36 weeks (which would have been this Friday) I went home and started to monitor my BP I couldn't get it to come down to normal so I called my doctor he sent me to L&D Thursday night to be monitored. They couldn't get my BP to come down so they called my doctor and he made the decision to induce me. At 11 Thursday night they gave me the first pill to soften my cervix and started me on meds for my BP. A couple hours later they gave me another dose of the pill to soften my cervix and another one a couple hours later. By about mid day Friday they started me on pitocin and gave me the epidural. By about 8ish Friday night I was 2cm. Then they checked again at like 9ish and I was 9 cm, I felt the baby pushing down into my birth canal so i called them and they checked me at 10 i was fully dialated. I pushed for about 45-50 min and at 10:50 on 2-17-17 she was here!!! Weighing 3lbs 15oz 17 inches long and absolutely perfection in every way possible 😍🎀👶🏻🍼
