@txyogagirl, you might have a bit of distasis rectii (when the ab muscles pull apart). My abs felt sore for a quite while too, but I can't remember for how long now.
@ciraclesmiracle, thanks I will check out the article I so need to start something I'm not sure why my belly still feels sore when stretching probably bc I'm so out of shape it's so easy to gain a lot at the end I think
@txyogagirl, I would just take it slow and avoid regular crunches. Here's a good article on building your abs after pregnancy. It's got good info on what to avoid: ΡΡΡΠ»ΠΊΠ°
@ciraclesmiracle, u look great keep up the good work I need to start working out as well @levismom, I gained like 45 pounds during pregnancy but crazy thing is I gained 14 of those pounds in my last 14 days before my due date and another 2lb in my 5 days that I went over my due date so 16lb in 19days to say that I tossed my diet out the window is a understatement lol I did so good all of pregnancy and at the end it all went to crap however I am back to my pre pregnancy weight it only took me about 6 weeks and don't ask me how. Luckily it just fell off. But my body feels so flabby my legs r the worst I feel like I have zero muscles and my belly looks like it has a little tone but feels like jello lol. Question for @ciraclesmiracle, when I'm stretching if I feel my belly sore like do u think it's to early or is that just bc I'm so out of shape I have never been this long in my life without working out.
@levismom, that's a really great start!!!! My belly took a while to tighten up. I had a "pooch" for several months, but eventually it went back. I'm definitely carrying more fat on my belly and thighs--I think it's hormonal--but some cardio should take care of that! I just went to our new gym for the first time, and baby went to the daycare for the first time. He only lasted 15min, but it's a start!!
@ciraclesmiracle, I gained 65 ππππ I lost 40 of that just from having my son, which I feel blessed that my body didn't hold on to more. So I have about 25 to lose. I'm not so much worried about the number. I want to get rid of my flabby belly and just be healthier.
@levismom, thanks! I did nothing but walking for the first 3-4 months, then I did 3-4 months of light Pilates and ab work to make sure that my abs were fully healed, and now I'm about to start working out and trying to tone up. I gained 45lbs and I'm 8mo postpartum, so it's been a pretty long road. It's true (in my case) what they say about needing 9 months to get back to normal!
