Now...whilst incarcerated, I had the royal treatment. If your pregnant and in jail/prison, you get a few additional things that the other inmates don't. You get an extra mattress, you don't have to do chores, you get an extra snack before bedtime and if the whole line is having to "stand on the wall" as punishment for something, well, you don't have to. You can lay in your bunk. I had my first ultrasound in jail. I found out I was having a boy in jail. I felt my baby kick for the first time in jail. This was NOT the way I wanted to spend my first, and probably only, pregnancy. So I decided to make the best of it. If this is where God wanted me, I was gonna seek, find and learn what it was that he had in store for me there.
