I'm off 12 weeks without pay and no supplemental income. My boss refuses to put me on full time to get the benefits however I work full time hours. But when I asked about getting 2 extra hours a day she couldn't afford it yet the secretary is off for 3 weeks with her husband who had surgery and she's getting paid. She's only 32 hours a week. Just like me. They're best friends. So unfair. 😒when I go back, I'm working my 6 hours and leaving

@mrsgraffiti, it's tough. And we don't get benefits from the state. My kids are on medical but we don't get food assistance or anything. I'm very good at budgeting but my husband is very good at spending. 😑it's a challenge for sure

@beebaby, I get short term for like 8 weeks. So a whole month I'll have no income at all.

@js_kidsmom, in Ohio you have to apply fit unemployment before conceiving which is dumb to me because how many don't plan for it? I work 35-40 a week and get paid for 30

Yeah normally fmla if you take all 12 weeks only part of it is paid , the remaining Is unpaid

@smash6684, It's just the fact that I have been working there for 7 years and I don't get paid maternity. Just feels like I'm working for a paycheck and not a career.

Short term disability paid 60% of mine and I had to make up the extra 40% with my leave days. I came back 3 days before the 6 weeks, because I work in a school and we had a weird week that I could use to transition myself and my son to me going back. I didn't stay away any longer than the 6 cause that's when std cuts off and I didn't want to waste all my days in case baby got sick later on. Like @smash6684, said final on holds your job for 12 weeks. America sucks for pregnant women
