I need advice..

My son's head is burning hot as if he is running a fever but the rest of his body is normal temp. He has a right ear infection but he is also teething I'm not sure what else I can do besides give him medicine.. any tips? He is beginning to fight me to eat when he needs to and I don't want him going without the nutrition he needs more then a day.. Any advice will be helpful!
