Hey mamas!! Ok important question! Did your baby ever go through the 6 month regression? If so, what did you experience with it? What were the affects?

Mine is going through it now *and has been since the 4 month regression started* but it's a bit worse. During the 4 month regression, he would wake a few times with a coo or very small whine and I'd put the binky in his mouth and he'd fall back asleep right away. NOW it's still the same but now when I put the binky in his mouth, he still kicks and cries unless I pick him up and have him sleep with me in the bed *which I try avoiding so I don't start him with a bad habit. And no, I'm not saying it's bad for anyone else who co-sleeps cuz that's their choice BUT it's just not for us* anyway, he does this every night. When it first started, he'd wake at around 5 and I'd have to take him out and put him in the bed. Now he wakes at 12 or 1 and will not fall back asleep unless he's next to me in bed.

I'm just wondering *and hoping* that this is just part of the 6 month regression so my son can sleep in his crib again through the night. It's killing me cuz he tosses and turns on some nights and keeps me up. He's been a crib sleeper since birth *we had him sleep in the napper in our hospital room* and I just don't want him getting used to sleeping with me so the habit won't be hard to break when he starts sleeping in his crib fully again. Please, be kind. I just want to know what you all went through if/when your baby went through the regression and that I'm not alone 😔😩

@raisinghazel, I have been running a fan or loud humidifier since he's been home from the hospital. He's so used to it. Should I try a different noise?

I think we talked about this a few days ago. The 6 month one was definitely worse for us. Lasted a few weeks to a month. My always happy smiling baby was just out of sorts and kind of crabby. His sleep was disturbed too. He starting getting up at night again during that time. We just had to ride it out. I never got him out of bed. Just gave him his binky and covered him up. If he cried and cried, I let him. I didn't want to start a bad habit of waking up at night and getting up or sleeping in our bed. Just Hang Through It'll get better!

@mommy.to.a.prince the white noise just sounds like tv static supposedly it helps calm them down. I think you should give it a try just play it on YouTube on your phone and put him down in the crib and walk away. At one point our white noise maker died and I refused to buy batteries for it.. OMG WORST 2 weeks ever she woke up every chance the pacifier fell out her mouth 😭😭. But it works for us and it keeps her asleep sometimes I'll play it all night other times just for 30 min. Like I said it cant hurt to try it worked for me and so far I'm regression free lol

@raisinghazel, thanks!! I'll look it up on my phone to see if there's an app. Maybe it will help. Last night he did better. Woke at 12 put the binky in his mouth then he woke around 4:30 doing his small whine and put him in bed with me and he slept great till 8 😊
