My youngest has what looks like a rash starting at his neck and on the upper part of his chest. It looks like little pink dots but doesn't look at all like baby acne. When he has a bath and a change of clothes the rash goes away for a bit but always comes back once we're in the living room/dinning area. He's only a little over a month old but I'm thinking it may be an allergic reaction to my sister in laws cats. Just not sure yet. And insight from moms who have dealt with infants being allergic to animal dander that would be great

My 11 yr old gets the same thing (always has) if he gets too warm and starts to sweat even a little bit then he will get a rash like that and usually after he has a bath and changes then it goes away until he gets too hot again. I have found that it helps if he stays shirtless when we are around the house. Hope that helps!

@bri61217 That's what I was thinking also. My first always had issues with heat rash but this rash seems to be different.

Mmm im not to sure then thats all i could think of since you're saying you dont know if he's allergic to anything

@bri61217 we're headed to my grandma's for a four day weekend. She doesn't have any pets so that'll help see if the rash if it is the cats or something else. The rash isn't bothering him at all or at least doesn't seem to be and it hasn't gotten worse.

So honestly if it doesn't seem to bother him or get worse i would suggest its a heat rash ... especially since you said its only on his neck and chest

@bri61217 it definitely might be heat rash. My olderst is 7 and doing the baby thing all over again 8 years later is like doing it for the very first time.

@lifeintheparentinglane, I know what you mean! My baby is 1, but the next youngest is 9 1/2 so I was in the same boat. I feel like I am a newbie all over again!
