So, I've been wanting another child for a few years now. But every time I mention it to certain family members, they all tell me "you don't need another kid". Why do people think it's okay to say that to someone? It honestly makes me feel like they think I'm a bad mother. And now that we're actively trying to conceive it makes me not want to tell anyone when it does happen.

I don't tell my family at all until I am prego and at least 4 months along. Not that they would care either way because that isn't how my family is but I don't care what they think. If I want ten kids then that is what I'm having

I know that same feeling!! And people are right, they shouldn't matter. It's how you feel and what matters to your own immediate family. You know what's best. Because we have one of each and my MIL was like - you have one of each... you don't need anymore. But I've always wanted 3 kids. Guess what I'm having my number 3, and they are going to love their grandchild no matter what (: if they can't then we don't need that negativity in our lives or theirs.
