My son was 9lb when he was born and he only wore nb size for about two weeks. It's okay to transition them even if it fits a little big, especially when they get bigger! They absorb more when baby starts sleeping through the night

My baby is 4 1/2 months, weight about 16 lbs and wears a 2 comfortably...at birth she was 6lbs 9oz...
