Good lord what is wrong with rocking my child to sleep or holding him when he cries? People say "oh he will be a softie and a baby forever" like shut up I'm not even going to go further into this I have my beliefs and people have theirs. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 I don't say "oh you don't hold your child when they cry? Oh that's bad" I just let you do you

My husband was "baby'ed" when he was little where I was not and honestly I really think it shapes us into who we are in certain areas. He's a sweet caring man who likes to cuddle with me where I'm ...different lol @rmreed,

So does my husband lol he's a mommas boy and I want that with Patrick he's independent but he's still a sweet guy that probably has to do with him being a mommas boy 😂 @rmreed,

Whatever works for you! Don't let the ignorance of others get you down, screw them. Every parent is different in the way they parent their children and no one should bash one for being different.

I feel the same. My son barely cries ever since he's taken the binky but if he does start to cry, I put the binky in his mouth and if he still cries I pick him up and cuddle him and he stops crying but he will not be attached to my nipple or anything. He will learn that it's ok to cry and to just work it out himself but I will always be there with cuddles for him. He will know he's extremely loved with lots of hugs and cuddles and kisses!!

There's nothing wrong with that at all! My daughter is turning 4 next month and I still have a rocker in her room and still rock her to sleep sometimes. we sit and I read to her til she gets sleepy then she tells me to put her in her bed and she passes out on her own. My girl is no softie. She's tough as nails and out spoken but she's gentle and kind. I don't think holding and rocking your child is wrong. I hold her as much as I can bc she's not a baby anymore. They grow so fast don't worry what others say. Yea they're all perfect. You do what is right for you and yours!

I'm a snuggler..... But I have 3, 8 month olds so it's a little different. I don't know how to explain it, but my biggest worry was how was I going to give all my attention to each baby. I do it based on each child's individual needs.... My son is extremely needy, has been since in the hospital! One of my girls is very independent and we kiss her good night and place her in the crib and she wants lights out and left alone... And my other girlie is half and half.... Lol I don't believe in letting them cry, they already have to share me 24/7 and will never know what is like to be an only baby that I can give one on one time.... Some say they are going to turn out spoiled, some say it's amazing but I feel I had to learn how each child is and treat them the way it is best for them to HOPEFULLY help shape them to be amazing adults and as they grow their needs will change.
