So my doctor's nurse called me telling me my quad came back abnormal I guess quad is for down syndrome I went in and they told me I have a 6% chance of the baby having down syndrome my doctor told me not to worry because he's not worried but I took another blood test and I have to wait for the results to come back in three days and then after that I have to go to St. Louis for an intensive ultrasound so they can look at the baby more and the placenta anybody else ever been through this ??

Yeah sounds normal. I did the blood drawn test, blood finger prick test, and an ultrasound

Yes everything was fine. Some ob's just do all that to make sure, I said it doesn't matter if he had it but just wanted to know anyways and they did all that, but you can refuse them

I had the test due to being high risk, my first test came back that I had a 1 in 36 chance of Down syndrome. Believe me I CRIED A LOT - but my mom made me realize all baby's are wonderful.. and a gift! I was blessed to have gotten all negatives for chromosome abnormalities with the secondary testing though, and got to find out I was having a boy as well. Hugs!
