Getting really fed up with work, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and in my third trimester and still haven't had a meeting with my manager about my maternity or getting my risk assessment reviewed. I'm a support worker and my job involves moving and hoisting fully grown adults, I've had to go to the hospital twice due to things like muscle strain and Brendon not moving as much. I've tried asking aboit it and they always say that they're gonna have a meeting with me in a few days but then they don't even show up to work, I even rang the area manager and she told me I'd have to wait. So sick of it all 😓

Tell them if something were to happen and you hadn't had a risk assessment they'd be liable. Demand a meeting with you to discuss when your leaving. They will need notice to arrange your maternity.

I had the same job as soon as I told them that my midwife had demanded a risk assessment I got moved onto singles rather than double ups so there was no hoisting or moving people. Legally they have to do a risk assessment I just refused and by the end they put me on mat leave early x

I would email your manager asking or the risk assessment and maternity leave and finish it with a date that you want a reply by. By doing this it shows them u have a paper trail and they can't get out of it if something was to happen. It might help that u put the dates that you have already asked. Shows them that you are being serious about it.

I've tried sorting it out countless times, I was supposed to have a meeting with my assistant manager today and he didn't show up, the manager was in so I told her and said that I had all the forms and stuff with me and she said that she'll arrange it soon, neither of them are in tomorrow and I'm off the day after. I was in hospital on Thursday and they know it was because of work yet they still haven't sorted it out. I've had the assistant manager say "don't you ever do any actual work?" When I've been sat down doing paperwork. I've been on the phone to the area manager and told her that my meetings keep getting cancelled and she said that I'd have to wait until my manager is free! Xxx

I don't think we have any kind of union at my work, I was thinking about ringing citizens advice about it all because it's just been too long now and is getting a bit ridiculous xx
