Everyone's different but maternity leave is usually between 1 and 3 months. In my state, PTO to bond with a new child is usually granted for a month or so. Depends on a lot
It depends on your circumstances @ashley.benson91 and if you get paid leave or not. I didn't get paid leave after I had my daughter so I ended up having to go back to work 4 weeks after I had her I started running low on money and I was a single mother at the time. So it all depends.
My sister is taking 11 weeks. If you have a natural birth I think you take 8-10 weeks, usually, and a c-section you get 10-12. Or something like that. Most people I know take 2-3 months, depending on what their job offers, and what they're willing to take at reduced or no pay.
As of now I'm taking 2 weeks before and 6 weeks after and I'm having a c-section. But I'm not sure if I will end up having to take more time because of the section. I don't get paid leave though so it's difficult

I'm taking 2 weeks off before, and 8 weeks off after. My job doesn't provide paid maternity leave
