My son and daughter have different dads so when he was born he took his dads last name. My daughter her daddy's last name but we're married and I've taken his name too so I think now that we're married she should have the married name (my husbands) . Just sucks because my sons dad doesn't support him or see him and his stepdad is more of father to him but he has his last name . @sweetness_mom_of2,

my mom did me that way. if the father ain't in the picture, then let ur baby have ur last name.

my oldest didn't have his dads last name until I new we where actually gonna stay together and get married now all my kids have there dads last name!

I didn't give my son his dad last name cause we wasn't together and I didn't see the use but we mad up and have another baby on the way so imma change my first son last name when we get married

my daughter doesnt have her dads name cause he left a week after i found out i was pregnant. she was born in 2008 and i found out he was arrested for child molestation in 2009. my eldest son, he doesnt have his dads name cause his refused to believe that he was his. he had 3 opportunities to have a dna test done but missed all 3. i took my son to see him when he was 2 weeks old and all he had to argue with me about was the fact that i had my nails done. my daughter has never met her real dad. my son only met his at 2 weeks old. they both know my husband as daddy and i couldn't ask for anything better.

Yea I totally agree with you ladies. I have my fathers last name and he has been the BIGGEST part of my life. He actually raised me. My child's father is not even that involved in his two daughters lives. @beebaby, @ginac, @nomaci, @proudmommy_0320, @randaroo, @rmreed, we are not together nor or we getting married. I just don't want issues when I do give birth to our son. When I'm filling out the birth certificate

@sweetness_mom_of2 I'm with the father and very happy together but planning on baby having my last name till we get married. I feel its just easier to change her name to his after then changing it to mine after. and I want me and her having the same name

My friend did not give her daughter the fathers name because he bailed. It's up to you thoigh; if he'll be a big part of the baby's life or if he's just a name on the BC. It may be better to use your name if you'll be the one taking the baby to the doctors, school, calling about issues and information, to avoid confusion.

my first 2 children have my maiden name. my last 2 have my married name.

My son has my last name and I don't regret that at all, I'm glad I was able to confidently make that decision.

My daughter has my last name @sweetness_mom_of2 I just refuse to give my child someone's last name I am not with or married to but that's just my personal opinion. But theirs nothing wrong with it at all because at the end of the day your the mother every decision involving that child you have the final say so regardless to whether hes the father or not what you say will over rule all that.

I don't think it's wrong. But he might. But at this point I don't care.
