I love the blank stare my daughter gives me when I tell her to do something in Spanish lol or English in that matter. She just doesn't like being told what to do in any language 😂 I see we are going to have some issues moving forward.

Omg, I hope my son understands the both x) my SO first language is Spanish, and I also learned Spanish ,and have become fluent , but I hope our son is too, because my suegra Is coming from mexico, and she has her visa, so I hope he can speak it in the future!

Just keep constantly speaking to him in Spanish and also saying the same things in English he will pick up just fine. My daughter understand but she is a jerk and just doesn't like being told what to do lol. I try to use Spanish as primary in my house so she will know both and we live in a predominantly Latino neighborhood so she will need to know any way to survive out here lol

My sisters bf and his mom have been speaking to my 1 yo in Spanish and I hope she picks up on it. My 8 yo wants to learn as well. Unfortunately I don't know any. So I'm happy with whoever can teach them

She'll pick it up especially if they are around her a lot. You should learn too being bilingual is awesome @kandyrhym,

@wisky80wifey, I've tried with both Spanish and French since high school. I know some words but I sound ridiculous trying to speak them lol.
