ahh im finding it so hard to work with children when i have a baby at home and a baby in my tummy 😣
i just cant wait to leave 😎@sara-lou
i used to get so tired in the afternoon around 1pm ish. i know exactly how you feel, i felt the same with my first, but in the end its worth it @keeleyconlon
I feel the same! i work 9-6 with 2-3 year olds and im only 23 weeks but as the days go on i seem to get really tired and feel completely drained. Also i get strong pains in my ribs and my back. Its so hard dealing with everything being so low down aswell😣xx
Yeh I finished at 35weeks 2nd time. I still think once your past the tiring stage it won't be as bad though. I remember almost falling asleep where I was so shattered at the beginning! It was hard because the girls didn't know I was pregnant for a while as I didn't tell people. So I couldn't slack or they'd guess! lol As room leader though your in the position to delegate tasks, as long as it's fair & you do what you can. But yeh if you have the choice to finish early then go for it. Enjoy it.
yeah i do have a good team, but because we always have dedicated person to do each duty i feel bad to ask my staff if they could do my duties such as cleaning breakfast and changing afternoon nappies. Ive never been that person where i tell people what to do. i just do it myself. but lately i just cant be bothered to do anything. i dont even want to sit and play with the children because im so tired most of the time. i dont enjoy it anymore 😣@sara-lou
ohhhh @loular16 your hours are longer than mine. thats too much. im thinking to go on early maternity leave. ive realised this with my first. i didnt get any chance to relax i worked up until i gave birth with my first. this time im going to think of myself and leave when i am 6 months pregnant 😋x
I feel ur pain. I also work in a nursery looking after 1-2yr olds. I'm finding it very tiring at the moment. I still do nappies and things as I'm still early but il give it up when I need to. I also work 7:30-6 so long days.
Yeh those were my hours previously when I was first pregnant. Got hard towards the end. Your probably feeling worse now because the tiredness in the first trimester is the worst! Once you come out of that you may feel better. Just be careful when lifting. I carried on doing nappies etc as babies aren't that heavy, but I did start asking staff to put them to bed if they needed rocking off as I found it uncomfortable leaning over the cot as I got bigger! Do you have a good team? I'm sure they'll be more than happy to split certain duties if you struggle with them as you get on. I also delegated cleaning up after meals sometimes if my back was bad. I'd help with people's observations/ paper work & other bits to make up for it! lol
yeah i told them because of lifting babies and putting them in the cot and so on. but i hate working now. i do 8 to 5 and sometimes 8 to 6 @sara-lou
Snap I was running the 0-2yrs room when I went back to work then got pregnant with Max. Luckily was only doing 9-5 not 8-6 what I had to do in my previous jobs! Do they know your pregnant yet? When they do your risk assessments they should keep asking how your doing & try to help support you anyway they can. Spread your breaks out, delegate certain jobs to the team etc. Little things can help.
same im a room leader for babies. but its just so tiring. having a baby at home and babies at work i feel like im working 24/7 😣@sara-lou
Yeah its always around that time too its a killer and yeah will definitely be worth it xx
