1. Try drinking lemon water. Yes. Lemon water. The acids in lemon will interact and counteract with the acids in your stomach lining.
2. Take a shot (1tbs) of raw apple cider vinegar. Or any vinegar really. (It is hard to take/stomach, but it does wonders)
3. Garlic – If you choose garlic capsules make sure they are rich in allicin to be effective with heartburn. Check with your midwife to make sure they are right for you, as garlic can cause cardiac issues.
4. Ginger tea (8oz)
5. Coconut water (12oz)
6. Aloe Vera water (4oz- it reduces inflammation)
7. Peppermint. Either candies or 2 drops of essential oil into 8oz of water (and it's also a relief for nausea too)
8. Yes. It is ok to take tums and ranitidine (Zofran)
