My parents and mother in law continue to give me grief about how I wanna choose to raise my son... I constantly have to remind them that he's ours to raise however we please and as long as he's happy and healthy I'm going to stick to my methods... then they hit me with "well I'm sorry but I'm sticking to what I know when we watch him none of that crap your trying to do...which btw won't stick"
It drives me crazy that they won't give my parenting methods a try or they try to implement their own... I'm at my wits end with all these parents trying to parent me while I'm parenting 😭😭😭

Yes! I am very outspoken & I told my mother in law to mind her business because it's not the 80's anymore and we do things different nowadays. Whether she liked it or not. I was going to raise my son the way I wanted to... we no longer speak anymore so don't take my advice haha

i know what you mean... i tell everyone that im open to suggestions and opinions but times have changed and theres no "rules" to raising a child. But that it is good for the child to have a general sense of expections. DO remind them that it takes a village to raise a child and you do appreciate their interest and input in their grandson but he has a mother and father

my mom was saying the same thing about my daughter,, who isnt even here yet...so i told her after many negotiable attempts..that if she didnt follow my rules, she wont be seeing my daughter. we all want the best for our loved ones and that is a point you should keep throwing up in the air
