There's this book called

5 Lenguajes del Amor

It's in English too but I've only read it in Spanish. It talks about different languages of love and that sometimes our way to show our love is different from what they think. It's like if you only speak Chinese and he speak only Spanish there's no way of understanding. Until you learn his and he learns yours. There's a man that had just gotten a divorce and he wondered why she left him.

He said he would always tell her how beautiful she was, how much he loved her and be romantic ect but the thing that she wanted from him was for him to throw out the garbage and do things around the house. So her way of him showing love was to be helpful around the house.

It's a good book. Well for me lol sorry don't wanna be nosy just thought it can work for you :)

Yup totally agree with that. My husband was born in Mexico as well and I was born here. He's been in the usa for 3 years and well it's different. I still show him my different way of thinking which he gets and don't get lol but It works little by little:)
