my poor baby has RSV... she's so not herself. 😟 all she wants is lay down and cuddle.

@mommy1987, RSV is basically a common cold, but it can effect babies worse because they're so little.

@mommy1987, RSV is a cold. It's the exact same symptoms. That's what they call it for children. Most of the time, depending on babies age, they do very little. Like maybe an antibiotic and breathing treatment. But other than that it's all about coping and getting them through.

It is different than a cold. There is a test the doctor can do to tell you if the baby has rsv. My son was tested last time we were at the doctor and it was negative. @mommy1987,

I don't honestly know how it is different I would have to look it up. I just know there is a test for it. My son has a cold now and I called the doctor and they said I didn't have to bring him in unless he was weezing, having difficulty breathing or was unable to be soothed or if he had a fever. They would see him if I wanted them too though. When they tested him last time, he didn't even have a cold. I brought him in for excessive fussiness. Hope this helps.
