I would suggest waiting till she is closer to 2, but that's only because they tend to "get it" better but honestly the tarp is not a bad idea if u have carpet, my mom swears naked babies potty train faster 😂

@mommytoaiden, 😂😂😂 she loves watching daddy pee... thinks it's SO funny! She's naked on the bottom, walked up to the potty, pushed her pelvis forward made a 'pppssss' sound, then started peeing!! 😂😂😂😂 I told my husband he's banned from standing until she's potty trained! 😂😂yeah we planned to wait a bit longer, but she's been bringing us diapers when she wets one and coming to me tugging on my pants when she's pooping, and she wakes up from her nap most days dry... so I figured we'd give it a go! Lol

This is what I've read and I've been doing. At 1 year, I put up her potty. Didn't introduce it to her or anything, but just put it up. And then slowly she started sitting on it for fun. Now, at 18 mo, whenever I go pee, I call her into the bathroom and say stuff like, "look! Mama is going pee pee! Can you sit and go pee pee too?" I don't take her diaper off. I just let her sit and get the idea. In a few months I'll start taking her diaper off. But, what I've read is just letting them go at their own pace. And getting a potty that's similar to the big one is best. That way transitioning to the bigger potty will be easier, and less scary. This is the one we have. It's from Summer Infant.

@jennatess, yeah we've done the same thing, got the potty this summer, and when I go she comes in and sits down with me... started with her diaper on... and about a month ago would pull her pants down... but only make her sit as long as she wants!
