hi everyone!! I'm in need of advice! my daughter is 6 months old and does not want to sleep at my house anymore. she will wake up 3-5 times at night, but if I sleep at my father's she will wake up 1-2 times. I tried everything to make her comfortable and nothing is working. she does have a bit of a cold right now, but even when she doesn't its the same pattern. idk what else to do and in exhausted. help!!

Did you live at your fathers when she was born? If so she can just be used to his house and her Surroundings. She may just be really comfortable there.

Ik my son sleeps more and longer st my family's house because he gets to much stimuli from it being a new place he just tires himself out faster

@ashcos no I lived in Florida when she was born until she was 6 weeks old, then I lived at my fathers from 6 weeks til she was about 13 weeks and we have been in our own place since

Hmm. Do you occasionally stay at you fathers? Because 13 weeks I'm pretty sure they start getting familiar with their surroundings and that may have happened or maybe the smell or the place she sleeps at your dads is better to her I'm not sure.

@ashcos we sleep there every other Friday but we spent almost the hole week their because she is sick and my SO is sick too. we were only living at my dads for 8 weeks, we've been in our apartment for almost 13 weeks now

I get that! Babies are sometimes weird when it comes to where they are comfortable! My son was living in our house from birth until 3 months and he never slept. We moved in with my mother in law since my father in law passed away about 2 months ago and he slept all night the first couple of nights he is so comfortable here. Now he's going through a little fussy time due to teething but he has been so comfy here

@ashcos ughhh its so frustrating! lol specially since I'm starting school I'm going to be so exhausted

Try soothing her with white noise. My son loves the sound of the blow dryer and it also keeps him warm. So we turn it on when he's going to sleep and blow it on him and around him for a little while, it's on warm and we know not to burn him before anyone sees this and start to flip out on me lol.. but he loves it and it helps out him to sleep when he is fussy. A white noise machine might help or a fan an air purifier. Play around with some sounds and see what seems to calm her down and also some smells I have a lotion called California baby and it smells like lavender and eucalyptus and it's very soothing that may help her as well. The lotion is organic and it's all natural materials :))

yeah we have been using the same fan sound since she was born , we found it when she had colic. still works like a charm. its not getting her to sleep, it's getting her to stay asleep! @ashcos

I get that but the blow dryer helps keep my son asleep as well when I start to hear him whine or fuss I turn it on and he falls right back to bed. I mean I definitely not a doctor or nurse but figured maybe if I could give you some info something might help!! Good luck hun I hope she gets better and starts sleeping longer :))
