I've been in your shoes before. My 2 oldest boys are from a different relationship. I was with their father for almost 9 years and we broke up when our second son was less than a year. We were back and forth on trying to be a family again because we thought it was best for our 2 sons but it never worked out because he wasn't concentrated on becoming a family man. His mindset was always on the nightlife in vegas because that's where I used to live. He was a couple years older than I was but his mindset was somewhere else. I asked him if we can try to work things out again for our kids but he also threw this "I'm talking to someone and it's getting serious." thing in my face. It killed me inside and put me through depression but I eventually snapped out of it. I realized that it was better that we were together for the boys because we fought a lot and it wasn't good for the kids to see that growing up. Almost 5 years later, he's still with the same girl but he and I are really good friends and co-parent really well for the boys. And to me, that's all that matters cause you can see the joy in their faces when we can all get together to do things just for them. Things may not be looking up right now, but you will eventually find inner peace and hopefully this new girl he's talking to does not keep him away from being a father to his son. Just concentrate on you and show him what he's missing out on.

@mizzglenda, reading this makes me feel a lot better about my situation I feel sad all the time n it breaks my heat every time I speak to him or talk to him. I just don't understand how it's so easy for him to just give everything up
