When did you guys start giving your baby's gerbers cereal etc?

I've been wanting to give my son but on his 4 month check up his pediatrician said she didn't recommend it because breastmilk & formula are the only nutritions they need .. but if we wanted to give him she recommended to wait till 5 months to really push to 5 1/2 months because if you start to early it can damage their gut line

&' now they recommend the oatmeal cereal instead of the rice one because it has more protein & iron

4 months is the earliest a baby should start stage one.

@gigi.marquez1991, I think I'll be waiting till he's 5 months just to be on the safe side

I started my daughter on rice cereal last week and she is 3 months. Doctor said 👌and she also has acid reflux (on medication) so it seems to help. The cereal I give her says stage beginner and the rest are marked 1 etc. You can always ask your pediatrician or family doctor because every child is unique 😉 @gigi.marquez1991
