Totally normal. I never got any Braxton hicks with my son. I did with my daughter early on. I was at 5cm and my contractions barely hurt until my water broke

i was induced with my first, so i don't have the first hand experience. but i heard that in natural labor contractions don't really hurt as bad until your water breaks. then all hell breaks lose.
