I'm not from Georgia nor do I live there but my husband's family and some of my friends live in savannah and they LOVE it there. It's a tourist town but they have beautiful old trees, oranges growing in the back yard, 5 minutes from Tybee Beach, candy factory, etc. my husband has visited several times and they all love it there. I'll be visiting one day in the future.
Georgia is very beautiful! Just make sure you move to a county that has a good education system cobb county is great! I'm from some mountain right outside Atlanta. It will be a change for you coming from new jersey but you will adapt. Do what you think it's best for you though. If you have a good support system with your family in new jersey maybe you should stay.
