My daughter is 2 yrs old and can only say a handful of simple words. She isn't able to communicate to me when she wants something or something is wrong so she will scream and cry at the top of her lungs till I can figure out what's wrong or what she wants. She always is screaming and crying if i tell her to not or do something. Literally crying all day. It's so frustrating for the both of us. Things have just been getting worse. I'm so drained and tired as hell. And feel so bad as a parent. She has started speech therapy 2 weeks ago so hopefully soon things will get better.

My son started speech when he was two as well. He only said a few words too. He did a lot of grunting and pointing for things. It worked great. Now he doesn't stop talking. Lol. He is 8 now. He is still in speech for articulation. Good luck I'm sure it will work out.

My son will be 3 in March and has a hard time talking as well. We've always used sign language and having him point to find out what he wants. You just have to be consistent and it will get better.

i knew a mom who's kid was similar to your little girl. while she was in speech therapy she also started using sign language. it helped them both.

Aww I'm sorry you have to go through that. It will get better you are doing the right thing
