My boyfriend and I always talked about starting a family, but were always reluctant because of our age. We were only 20 and just starting to enjoy the fun things in life...but we just wanted more. We started trying for a baby towards the middle of 2015 and just couldn't get it right. Month after month and period after period I was slowly losing hope in ever having a family of our own. We tried almost everything we could and those two lines never appeared. I finally gave up trying and focused on myself for a bit. It only took one month for us to finally conceive! On March 31st I realized I had missed my period. I had my boyfriend run to the store while we were shopping at the mall and went to the nearest public restroom 😂. (Yes, I was that anxious to take the test). While I waited for the test to do its thing, I remember telling myself not to get excited because it was probably going to be negative. I couldn't believe my eyes when I turned to see two bright pink lines staring straight back at me! I thought I would be jumping for joy, but a million. Things just ran through my mind at once and all I wanted to do was cry. I couldn't believe that I was going to be a mom by the time I was 21...I went straight back to the store and bought more tests. I took all of them as soon as I got home😣 I told my parents the following day which just so happened to be April fools. They didn't believe me even after I showed them the positive test lol.
