You say vows in a little box at court with only 2 witness it's just gonna be 4 of us that's why I'm confused lol the papers are gonna be just 15 mins they say @sarahbelle,

yep! its JUST like a normal ceremony. normal ceremonies are only about 30 minutes because of all the entrances and rituals people choose to do. The wedding at a court house is 100% like a normal wedding, they'll read a little thing about marriage, say vows, and do the kiss. :)

It's not vows that you write. they're the vows that are in normal weddings the "with this ring, I promise to blah blah blah in sickness and in health for better or for worse for richer or for poor" those ones!

Husband and I exchanged rings for our marriage than the night before our wedding gave our rings to our honors to present to us again the wedding day during the ceremony.

If I was getting married now and having the reception later on like you're saying. I would just do the court vows now and you have to exchange ring. Then for your reception maybe have your own vows not that you've been married for a little while you'll have different feelings. My hubby and I are about to renew our vows in march. When we got married it was quick after we started dating. Now its been 10 years so it's a lot more heart felt and we have some history. I can't wait
