I need some advice. Please don't judge. My son will be 4 march 5th. I have been trying to potty train him since he was 2 and he still won't use it. I have a potty app and everything where he goes every 30 minutes but I can't get him to poop in the potty and if he gets playing he won't go to the potty and I have tried everything and nothing is working and I feel like I am failing as a mom because my parents and my hubby's parents keep telling me he should be potty trained by now and the I need to work with him more and I am doing the best I can with him and also having a 1 year old I have to take care of too. Please help mommy's I need advise that would help him.

My wording may be funny here but have you tried bribery. When I was training my daughter I went to toys r us and bought out the $1 and $3 aisle . I put it all in a large bag and told her every time she went potty she could grab from the bag, then once she started I said ok now only when you go potty on your own , she was trained within 2 weeks

My little sister was obsessed with Santa so for Christmas my mom got her underwear and said that Santa said no more diapers. After that she wanted to go to the toilet because Santa would be upset if she had to wear diapers

Put him in big boy undies and if he poops have him clean it every time. Be there with him and talk him through it but don't do anything to physically help him. He won't like having to do all that work. So what I mean is he takes off his underwear and dumps his poop in the toilet. He takes off his underwear. He wipes himself. He goes and gets new undies and puts them on them goes back and washes his hands, etc. Let him know you are there for him and you love him but he is a big boy and big boys pee and poop in the potty. When he's done tell him you are proud of him but don't make too big a deal of it. And prepare him the day before you implement this. "Tomorrow mommy isn't going to help you. You are going to pee and poop in the potty". Also let him know when he goes to kindergarten they won't help him and he will have to sit in his pee and poop all day. Hope this helps!

@kelseychapman13, you're welcome. Good luck mama! I used to work at a preschool and we had a 3 year old who would poop his pants all the time. He said he didn't care that the poop was on his body so we started doing this and it worked. It was a last resort but we had to do it for his health
