ok so, my husband got home early from work today and went straight for his computer to play video games. normally this doesnt bother me. he i usually very good as playing for an hour or two and then spending time with me and our daughter, and i have give him plenty of days to himself that he can play or watch youtube all day as long as he helps me when i ask. which he does. BUT he has been on the computer for 4 days straight! and completely ignoring us. I have to literally yell his name to get a "yeah? what?". Our daughter sitting beside him cryinh for his attention and hes just ignoring her. im ready to just pull the plug. ugh!

That's not cool. But I would take a step back and calm myself before approaching this subject. Gamers (being one myself) use the gaming as an effective escape as well as fun. Has anything changed in his work or life recently? Also maybe just tell him how you feel gently. Maybe say you know I love you and don't mind you gaming but I would appreciate a little more help or when our girl comes to you for attention you taking a quick break to be with her before returning to the game. If it's a game that can't be paused maybe come up with a compromise? I'm not saying he's right to act the way he has been but as a gamer and having been involved with gamers I get it completely and I get it on both sides believe me. lol. My ex would only spend about 15 minutes with my son max before he would hop on his computer for the rest of the night. It drove me crazy.

@cassienka we talked about when after i went to bed. hes not a stresser so whatever happened at work doesn't really affect him. i have no idea what it was but its been settled.
