So I found out this morning that our neighbors downstairs are moving out next month. we currently live on the 2nd floor and it's such a struggle to carry everything in (especially when we go grocery shopping). we've been discussing about moving downstairs to make things easier. my dilemma is this...
2nd floor apartment(ours) has 3 bedrooms with lots of closet space but only one exit in and out of the apartment.
1st floor apartment has 2 bedrooms, dishwasher, new shower installed, new fridge, new cabinets, but there's way less closet space. 😣😣 what should we do?!?! ugh.

1st floor. It'll be so much easier and you can find ways to substitute for the lost closet space. If you don't jump on it you will probably regret it and won't get this chance again. Plus what an easy move! @jessicarose0602,

Which one is bigger it sounds like the upstairs is bigger than down. I would stay in the upstairs due to another bedroom and more closet space. But if your ok with downsizing then downstairs would be better for you. I mean if you don't plan on moving anytime soon and plan to have another baby before moving the upstairs would be good. Weigh pros and cons. Especially for the future, don't just think of right now. Hope this helps a little

@ashcos it makes me so nervous though to only have one entrance in the apartment. 😣 it's difficult. I know as of right now I don't want any more kids. I'm having one and done. 😛

@missliss that's the great thing is that the move should be pretty quick. the bad thing is we will have to pay transfer fees for our utilities as crazy as that sounds. 😂

Depends on how your apartments are sound proofed.. but noise from upstairs would definitely be something to consider choosing a bottom floor.. also it's colder with bottom floor apartments.

The worst part for me would be living downstairs with who knows moving in upstairs. They could cause so much noise for you and your baby. It's easier carrying things in downstairs, more exits, and you'll have to downsize some but will the new neighbors, in the future, be worth the possible noise? If noise is not a problem, I'd prefer downstairs with all you have to carry and feel more secure on the bottom floor.
