Any mommas have a baby w/ acid reflux? I'm worried my 5 week old has it. She's been extra spitty lately (usually doesn't spit up much or ever) and today after she got choked up she spit up A TON. It could be her not agreeing with something I'm eating.. but I just worry she has some gas issues with her little belly :(
this is just some of how much she got sick, it was also on my pants leg in a couple places and I got some of the little puddle with a towel.
I also already made an appointment for next Tuesday, I just wanna hear what you guys have experienced!

My son has GERD. He spits up a lot and sometimes will throw up like that. When you go to the doctor, ask them for an ultrasound to rule out Pyloric Stenosis. If she's throwing up a lot, like can't keep things down, it may be something you want to have checked out.

My baby has reflux. He is on Zantac. He is formula fed so I switched him to a formula for milk protein sensitivity because his stools were acidic and giving him diaper rash. Good luck. Hope everything works out for you and little one.
Yeah breastfeeding is kind of trial and error with what you eat and how it makes baby feel. I BF for a month then he got put on soy formula.
@jacesterlingsmommy, she's been really fussy the last bit and I feel like it may be that I've been eating yogurt now that I think about it! Since I bought it and have been eating it she's been fussier (I'm out now and won't buy anymore)
@jacesterlingsmommy, I have and I use gripe water too since I'm out of the drops but it works well for her
Is her spitting up the only symptom? My son was absolutely miserable and had symptoms. Could it be something you ate? Also how long has she been doing it for?
@jacesterlingsmommy, poor fella :( I can't say bottles, since I breast feed but she may just have a gassy belly for all I know.

My baby has reflux and takes medicine for it. Just spitting up isn't necessarily a sign of it.
@princess_xox, Thank you so much. She still breastfeeds well, but she's gassy and has hiccups! Gripe water helps, but I figured even though I'm feeling she's okay that a doctor visit couldn't hurt! It's so scary when you don't know what's going on at first. I do know since she threw up she fed, and then slept so well, and is sleeping again now! Maybe that gas and stuff just had her worked up! I feel like it could be what you're saying as well. She was so content after she got it all out when I was on the phone making an appointment! I didn't think about caffeine, I'll cut that out!
my babys gassy. and spits up a ton aswell.. he tries so hard to push everything out. his doc said it was normal. just stay away from caffiene. and if shes fine spitting up its fine. if shes fussy they can give her medicebe. my baby was fussy so they gave him medicene. i know its hearthreaking mama, butbitll be ok. their insides are still developing.
