Ikr! .. I tried alternating between both BM and formula when I first started due to a low supply and it only made him feel bad so I had to stick it out lol and I'm glad I did.

@jaidensmommy, I thought that it was like formula the older they got the more you had to increase the milk but no my lactation consultant told me they eat 4 oz for a very long time and after that, they don't drink as much cause you start giving them solids lol good luck!

Everyone applauds me for sticking with it lol but it took ALOT to reach this point. I've tried all kind of lactation products 😅tried to change my diet etc but in the end it's all worth it ❤️

Well I applaud you for deff sticking with it, there's times when I want to give up but then I think how Beneficial it is for them, I have not changed my diet shit it just makes me super thirsty so I drink a little bit more water lol .. I thought I would be free after labor but BF is just as bad lol

how do you get so much from pumping ??? I only get 1 oz everytime or 2 oz if I'm lucky :/ my baby doesn't latch either.. but I have to give formula an bm because she takes 2-3 oz an i never can make that much @jaidensmommy

@aliakr, I was the same way but trust me it takes time 😩😩

While in the hospital and those first couple of weeks it took my milk FOREVER to flow. I had to do the squirt in spoon and syringe method in order for him to eat for a while. but I advise you to try and pump every 3hrs.. even if you don't make as much , just to get your bodies attention that you need more milk. Make sure to drink lots and LOTS of water! Try taking a hot towel and compress on your breasts or take a good hot shower and pump, it's good for let Milk let down. and like once I reached 2 months I notice I was only pumping about 2oz of milk and his stomach wouldn't hold formula, I started trying different things to help get my milk supply flowing. My lactation counselors told me about FENUGREEK (capsules), I also did Mothers Milk Tea and Lactation Cookies !

Now at 3 months I'm finally pumping 5 - 6oz So don't be discouraged

4 oz is plenty. If your son is BF the rule is "an oz an hour" because your average supply of milk is 24 oz a day unless you excessively pump
