Arguing with mu husband about daycare . I want to put our son in the daycare i work at but he dosnt want to pay that much a week when his mom can watch him . The only thing is his mom smokes like a pack a day and i dont want my kid smelling like cigarettes. So fustrated . I feel like i cant win or even tell him how i feel about this subject .

I would be upset too! I'm a former smoker and I realized one day how bad smoking was affecting my health and I can't stand the smell of it anymore. I feel like I'm suffocating every time! I can only imagine how a child feels breathing in that smoke 😕

@mommy1987, thank you :) i work at the daycare and i trust the people there . The only thing is they dont offer discounts for teachers whose kids go to the daycare . Im gonna talk to them monday and see if they will do something . I just dont want my kid smelling like smoke all the time .

@michelle.uriza i know . I did it for a while and my husband still does and i dont think he understands how bad it stinks . His mom is worse there whole house smells , my mom used to say i would come home and smell like a pack of cigarettes

@tcarver, yeah that is not a healthy environment at all! Would be different if she smoked outside and the house didn't have the stench. I really hope everything works out!

I would talk with your mother in law and see if she can smoke outside. Tell her she'd be doing for her grandbaby, Daycare is super expensive... the money you would be making from your job will probably only pay daycare fees. That's our dilemma too. We could really use the extra income but if we used daycare for my 2 yr old and the new baby and I went back to work, my income would be primarily paying for daycare. Good luck girl!
